Biographical Information

Ms. Linda Barry has thirty five years experience as an educator, administrator, consultant and advocate in mental retardation and developmental disabilities.

In her capacity as an administrator, she was a departmental chair responsible for all special education faculty and paraprofessionals; writing, reviewing and monitoring the individual education plans; arbitrating differences with parents, teachers and school officials; assisting with student transition from school to community.

Ms. Barry has written and published numerous curriculum manuals to assist educators who work with learning disabilities students; served on several state organizations committees in the fields of mental retardation, developmental disabilities and learning disabilities; provided consultation and programming for numerous federal and state grants in the broad area of special education; served as a litigation and expert witness consultant in mental retardation and developmental disabilities
